Introduction to Educational Technology

This module introduced me to the fundamentals of educational technology, with a focus on current trends in technology integration in higher education and how emerging technologies can enhance the quality of teaching, learning, and assessment. It emphasizes effective use of the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other digital platforms to promote student-centred and practical learning. It was also ensured that I will be able to critically examine trends, opportunities, and challenges in educational technology; design and evaluate technology-integrated lessons and resources; create effective multimedia and interactive digital content; integrate social media and computer-aided assessment tools; manage student assessment and performance; and competently administer modules within a VLE. I am hopeful about the promises made by the module and eager to learn the basic to advance usage of the VLE and other Educational Technological Tools (ETT).
