Day 6_Reflection
On Day 6, I was introduced to several new digital tools and teaching strategies that can enhance classroom engagement and interactive learning. We explored Kialo Discussion, which is useful for conducting fun and competitive quizzes that actively involve students. The debate tool (e,g. importance of AI in Remote sensing and GIS) was also introduced, highlighting its importance in developing critical thinking, and engagement.
In addition, we worked with different types of quizzes such as fill in the blanks and drag-and-drop activities to teach geography specially in mapping, which support formative assessment and help check students’ understanding in an engaging way. We were also introduced to H5P, a powerful interactive content creation tool that allows teachers to design multimedia learning activities, quizzes, and presentations. Overall, Day 6 provided valuable insights into integrating interactive tools and strategies to make teaching-learning more effective and student-centred.
